The investigations of the Crotone Mobile team are mainly aimed at drug dealing circles to shed light on the shooting that took place late yesterday evening in the popular Farina neighbourhood, on the southern outskirts of the city, where a 34-year-old man of Campania origins was wounded by three gunshots which hit him in the legs. The 118 health workers, who rushed to the scene after a report, found the man still lying on the ground and transported him to the emergency room of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Crotone but during the night it was necessary to transfer him to the Pugliese-Ciaccio hospital in Catanzaro where he underwent a delicate surgery.

The prognosis remains reserved but at the moment the man is not in danger of dying. According to an initial reconstruction by Mobile investigators, yesterday evening the man was in the company of other people, currently unknown, when he was hit by three gunshots to the legs fired from close range. The circumstance suggests that the shooter was one of the members of the group with whom the 34-year-old was arguing. The officers then searched the victim’s car inside which a significant quantity of narcotic substance was found, which is why he was arrested on charges of drug possession and dealing. In these hours the Mobile team investigators are listening to several witnesses and acquiring images from the video surveillance systems present in the area to identify those responsible for the shooting.
