Two people definitively convicted were arrested by the state police in Crotone as part of targeted territorial control services arranged by the police commissioner Renato Panvino, aimed at preventing and combating crimes.

The first arrest was carried out by the agents of the Flying Squad, who executed a detention order issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic at the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro. The provision concerns a man definitively sentenced to 6 years and 7 months in prison for mafia-type association. After a series of investigations and searches in the area, the police managed to identify the recipient of the measure and proceed with the arrest. The man was then taken to the Catanzaro prison, where he will have to serve his sentence.

During the same day, officers from the Crotone Police Headquarters carried out a second arrest in execution of a detention order issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Crotone. In this case the provision concerns a man definitively sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison for domestic abuse. Also in this case, after some research activities, the police managed to track down the subject near the city center, proceeding with the arrest and subsequent transfer to the Crotone prison.

The operation is part of the broader territorial control plan prepared by the Police Headquarters with the aim of strengthening urban security and combating all forms of illegality. The execution of detention orders, underlined by the State Police, represents a fundamental step in the fight against crime and in protecting the safety of citizens.
