This afternoon the Archbishop of Crotone – Santa Severina, HE Mons. Alberto Torriani, visited the patients in the departments of the “San Giovanni di Dio” Hospital in Crotone, bringing Christmas greetings and imparting a blessing. The Archbishop was welcomed by the Director of the Medical Unit, Dr. Lucio Cosentino, the hospital chaplain Don Claudio Pirillo, the directors of operational units, the healthcare personnel and the nuns serving at the facility.
Despite his less than perfect health, Mons. Torriani wanted to be present alongside the sick, to whom he gave a small Christmas gift, the little baby in the straw cradle, as a sign of closeness and hope. The Provincial Health Authority of Crotone expresses appreciation for the visit and for the message of comfort addressed to the patients and hospital staff.
