This morning, in the “Falcone e Borsellino” Council Room, the meeting took place between the mayor Vincenzo Voce and a representation of the young people involved in DesTeenAzione of the Get Up Line, the project promoted by the Social Sector of Crotone, aimed at supporting the participation, inclusion and protagonism of the new generations which physically takes place in the spaces of the “Vincenzo Scaramuzza” Municipal Theater

An event that put young people, their ideas and their ability to imagine and build concrete proposals for the community at the centre.

During the meeting, the students of the Pertini-Santoni Institute and the Donegani Institute illustrated to the mayor three projects dedicated to the territory, conceived and designed directly by the students as part of the Desteenazione Get Up line.

These are proposals that will not just remain on paper: the three projects are in fact already financed under Desteenazione and can therefore be translated into concrete initiatives for the benefit of the community.

An element that makes the path undertaken by young people even more significant, called not only to express ideas, but to actively participate in their planning and implementation.

The discussion in the Council Chamber represented an important moment of dialogue between the municipal administration and the new generations, offering the children the opportunity to talk about their path and to share with the institutions proposals born from listening to the needs and the desire to contribute to the improvement of their community.

Also speaking during the meeting were Fabio Riganello and Marianna Barillari, representing the ATI (composed of Cooperativa Agorà Kroton, Cooperativa Baobab, Cooperativa Noemi and Cooperativa Valdocco) which manage the project, who illustrated the accompaniment path and the activities through which the children were involved in the planning of the initiatives.

Mayor Voce listened carefully to the proposals presented, underlining the value of a path that allows young people to be not simply recipients of social policies, but active protagonists capable of contributing to building the future of the community.

“It is important that young people have spaces and opportunities to express their ideas and transform them into concrete proposals. The three projects presented today, already financed as part of DesTEEnazione, are the most authentic demonstration of this: they arise from young people, from their attentive gaze on the territory and from the ability to read the needs of the community with clarity and passion. Once again the new generations show us that they are not simply recipients of initiatives, but aware protagonists, bearers of values, sensitivity and visions with which this administration has the duty to deal. As mayor listening to them and allowing them to transform ideas into actions aimed at the community is not only an act of trust, but a precise political choice: that of investing in the present and future of our city, recognizing in young people a living and generative resource for the entire community.” the mayor said.

The initiative therefore confirms the importance of DesTeenAzione as a space for participation, growth and empowerment, in which young people can develop skills, discuss, plan and contribute concretely to the life of the community.
