Giuseppe Conte will meet the Calabrian farmers and hauliers on strike against high fuel prices on Friday 23 October in the Vibo area. The visit of the president of the 5 Star Movement was announced by MP Riccardo Tucci, who reiterates the party’s closeness to those suffering the effects of the crisis. The program includes a press point at 11.30 in the square in front of the Pizzo motorway junction, in Angitola, on the occasion of the meeting with the workers.
Tucci: «On the side of those suffering the crisis»
«On the occasion of his visit to Calabria as part of the Festival of the South, the president of the 5 Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte, will meet the farmers and hauliers of the region in the Vibo area, currently on strike to denounce the high cost of fuel and the serious crisis that is affecting their respective sectors», explains Tucci. The appointment with the demonstrators will precede the presentation of the five-star leader’s new book, scheduled for the afternoon in Vibo Valentia.
At 4.30 pm the presentation of the book at the Valentianum
Conte will present the volume “A new spring. My history, our values, the progressive challenge for Italy” at 4.30 pm, in the monumental complex of the Valentianum. As Tucci reports, the book retraces the life and political path of the M5S president: from his childhood in Puglia to his move to Rome for university studies, from his appointment as Prime Minister in 2018 to the most recent political events. The volume also illustrates the principles and values that guide the action of the 5 Star Movement and the challenges that, according to the parliamentarian, await the party in leading the country.
