Devotion and prayer in Messina for Our Lady of Fatima: tomorrow the procession starting from the Basilica of Sant’Antonio

The sanctuary of Sant’Antonio of the Rogationist fathers is preparing to close the Jubilee Marian Week with the procession of Our Lady of Fatima. Tomorrow 31 October at 7pm, starting from the basilica in via Santa Cecilia, the torchlight procession that will accompany the pilgrim statue accompanied by the Heralds of the Gospel (an international association of faithful of pontifical right committed to the Marian apostolate, formation and evangelization) with the recitation of the Rosary, combining spirituality, prayer and public testimony of Marian devotion. The procession will reach the sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine for a moment of community prayer, then continue towards the Church of the Holy Spirit and return to the basilica. The initiative, explains the rector of Sant’Antonio Father Mario Magro, “wants to publicly demonstrate Marian devotion as a tangible sign of hope and entrustment to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; to offer everyone – faithful, pilgrims, citizens – the opportunity to participate in a journey of shared prayer, strengthening the sense of unity and communion in the local church in the figure of Mary, the house of consolation who supports us on the spiritual journey”. On Saturday 1 November, the feast of All Saints, the Marian week will end at 6pm with the consecration to Mary and the greeting to the pilgrim statue of the Madonna which will resume its journey to other Italian cities.
