Great expectations for “South bridges: the honorary consuls for a Mediterranean of relations and peace”, an event promoted by the honorary consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Calabria, by the Creat Calabria Rome Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Palmi and with the editorial support of the Diplomatic Gazette.
For the first time in Calabria, 17 honorary consuls from all over Italy will meet in Palmi together with the highest civil, judicial and military authorities, to discuss South diplomacy, dialogue between peoples and construction of peace.
Today the honorary consul of the Kingdom of Morocco for Calabria, Domenico Naccari, and the Consulate Consultant, the lawyer Giuseppe Saletta, will carry out an inspection in the Hall of the City Council of Palmi to verify the latest organizational details, confirming that everything is ready to accommodate delegations and guests.
Among others, Clara Vaccaro, prefect of Reggio Calabria will be present; Caterina Chiaravalloti, president of the Court of Appeal of Reggio Calabria; Filippo Pietropaolo, vice -president of the Calabria Region; Denis Nesci, MEP; Giuseppe Ranuccio, mayor of Palmi; Simona Scarcella, mayor of Gioia Tauro; Francesco Cardone, president of the municipal council of Palmi; Giuseppe Magazzù Councilor Great Events Municipality of Palmi; Giacomo Crinò and Giuseppe Mattiani, regional councilors; Mayors, representatives of the cultural and legal world.
There is a brief intervention of each console. Domenico Naccari and Giuseppe Saletta underline: “From Palmi, the heart of the Mediterranean, a message of peace and cooperation starts: the South is the protagonist in international relations”. The arrival of the consular delegations is scheduled for 9.30. The program includes the opening of the works at 10.30 am in the Hall of the City Council of Palmi, followed by institutional and cultural visits to the Villa Comunale, at the Cantine Cipri Resort and the Casa della Cultura “Leonida Repaci”. Palmi is ready to welcome international diplomacy, transforming himself for a day into the capital of the Mediterranean of relations and peace.
