Erasmus+, new 5 million tender for Calabria: Princi “Investing in talent to strengthen Europe”

New opportunities for students and institutions with the Erasmus+ call published by the European Commission. MEP Giusi Princi, member of the Culture and Education Commission of the European Parliament, highlights its significance, underlining the strategic value of the initiative.

«The new Erasmus+ notice has been published, an intervention aimed at supporting advanced training, strengthening the competitiveness of the European Union and encouraging the permanence of talent», says Princi, highlighting his commitment to supporting the implementation of the resources allocated to the program.

Resources and strategic sectors

The call has a total budget of five million euros and aims to design, test and evaluate a replicable model of scholarships for excellent students. The academic paths will be oriented towards areas considered priorities for European development, including digital technologies and artificial intelligence, energy, health, bioeconomy, transport, aerospace, defence, clean technologies and resource resilience.

Particular attention is paid to STEM paths and programs with a strong European dimension, such as joint study programmes, which integrate university education, international mobility and connection with the world of work.

Merit, mobility and development

«This is a measure that focuses on the merit and skills of our young people, so that they are protagonists in Europe», adds Princi. «A concrete investment that strengthens the link between quality training, international mobility and local development».

Participation in the tender is open to public and private bodies with legal personality active in the sectors of education and training, research and innovation and the world of work.
