Italian exports to the world are rising again but those of Sicily are soaring in the first nine months of 2025 and the province of Enna has seen sales increase by 582.4% to the United States (+7.7% compared to the 9 months of 2024), thanks to agri-food (honey, legumes, fruit jams, cheeses, mushrooms).

The Mestre CGIA research office says so. In the first three quarters of this year, at the provincial level, the increases in sales on the international markets of goods produced in Palermo stand out +160.6 percent, which is the first Italian province for exports in the world (in trouble, however, Caltanissetta -24.2 percent). Enna is fifth with +64.2%, Trapani is thirteenth with +15.8%, Catania is twentieth with +10.3%, then Agrigento +0.5%. Ragusa is doing badly – 3.1%, Messina – 3.3%, Syracuse – 19.8% while Caltanissetta is third to last in the ranking of the 107 Italian provinces. However, the province of Nisse is eleventh in Italy, after Messina +63%, for exports to the United States with +58.6%. Palermo is nineteenth with +16.8%, Agrigento +6%, Ragusa +2.4%, Trapani +0.6%, Catania is 80th with -13.4%, and last in Italy is Syracuse with -88.5%.
