New face for the management of Cosenza Calcio: The rossoblù club has made official the arrival of Fabio Lupo in the role of sports director. The Pescara manager signed a contract until 30 June 2026, with an option for a further season.
Born in Pescara on 11 October 1964, Lupo boasts a past as a footballer between Serie A and B, where he held the role of midfielder. His managerial career began in 2003 at Giulianova, and then landed in Serie A with Ascoli in 2005. From there, a long experience in Italian football: Manfredonia, Turin, Sorrento, until the role of general manager at Bellinzona in Switzerland.
In 2011/2012 he worked in the youth sector of Sampdoria, before returning to deal with the first team as sports director in important squares such as Juve Stabia, Teramo and above all Palermo. In 2019/2020 he landed in Venice, while his latest experiences were with Ascoli and Spal.
A highly experienced figure, now called to build the sports future of Cosenza in a crucial phase of the season.
Fabio Lupo’s official presentation is set for Monday 14 July at 18:30, at the “Denis Bergamini” press room of the San Vito – Gigi Marulla stadium.
