The carabinieri of the Santa Severina station have executed an application order of the precautionary measure of the ban on approach and communication with offended people, issued by the investigating judge at the request of the Crotone prosecutor’s office, against a person believed to be responsible for serious episodes of domestic violence. The measure requires the maintenance of a minimum distance of five hundred meters from the victims and places frequented by them.
The measure originates from an episode that took place last May in San Mauro Marchesato, when the military had intervened following a violent family dispute. On that occasion, two people had reported cutting weapon injuries to the arms and abdomen and, after being rescued, had been judged to be healed in seven days. The weapon used had been immediately seized.
The investigations made it possible to reconstruct a wider and more worrying picture: the aggressor’s sister has reported that she has long been a victim of repeated physical and psychological violence that had caused her a constant state of anxiety and fear. These elements led to the activation of the procedure provided for by the “Red Code” and the inholtro of the documents to the judicial authority, which ordered the application of the precautionary measure.
