This morning, at about 05:50 am, the Fire Brigade team of the Cirò Marina detachment intervened in via Antonio De Curtis, 2, in the municipality of Cariati (CS), for a fire that involved a house.
Upon arrival on the spot, the rescue teams found the presence of smoke and flames from a window on the second floor of the building and the shutdown intervention was immediately started.
During the intervention, it was found that in the rooms affected by the fire, the breakdown of the floor of the upper floor (Intradosso third floor) occurred, while the floor below (second floor) immediately evident injuries to the plasters.
Following a rapid technical evaluation conducted through a visual analysis, to guarantee the safety of the building and residents, it was spread to the temporary use of the premises (rooms and corridors on the three levels in correspondence with the damaged rooms).
The safety operations have been successfully completed, but the intervention will continue with the necessary technical checks to determine the extent of the structural damage and the feasibility of a possible restoration.
The Fire Brigade team operated with great professionalism to limit the damage and guarantee the safety of the residents and other occupants of the building.
