In the afternoon of today, at around 16.00, the Fire Brigade teams of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro – detachment of Sellia Marina and headquarters – intervened in the municipality of Sellia Marina, in via Fratto, following a fire that developed in an apartment on three levels above ground.
The fire has particularly affected the attic and two bedrooms located on the second floor. The personnel who intervened promptly proceeded with the information of the flames, avoiding the propagation of the stake to the entire structure.
At the time of the event, two elderly spouses and daughter were present inside the house, who were promptly made safe without reporting any physical consequence.
Due to the structural damage reported, the premises affected by the fire were declared unusable pending further technical investigations.
