Filippo Alfì, the 22-year-old from Crotone who on 30 October 2025 was arrested by the State Police for stabbing a 66-year-old man in the back at the height of an altercation that arose from a parking lot in an unauthorized part of the city, was sentenced to 5 years and 5 months in prison. This is what the judge for the preliminary hearings of the Court of Crotone, Elisa Marchetto, decided the other day. The violent episode occurred in via Cappuccini at 11.46. As reconstructed by the Crotone Flying Squad, which viewed the images of the video surveillance systems present in the area, the victim was traveling along the cycle path on his bike. When during the journey he came across a Fiat Punto which was blocking his passage as it was parked on the cycle path. But in a few moments, preceded by an argument, the videos showed Alfì getting out of the car, chasing and stabbing the victim in the back. Hence the young man’s vain escape home with his family before ending up in handcuffs for the blow he delivered.
