«Gaza. Hatred and love for Israel »: Gad Lerner the Caccuri Prize in Gad Lerner

The XIV edition of the Caccuri literary prize, one of the most important of nonfiction in Italy, ended with the victory of «Gaza. Hatred and love for Israel »by Gad Lerner (Feltrinelli). In second place, on equal merit, the other three finalist titles: “Spertri” by Monica Maggioni (Longanesi), “Liberal Erasia” by Alessandro Sallusti (Rizzoli) and «Trump. Life of a president against everyone »by Gennaro Sangiuliano (Mondadori). The winner and finalists received the silver tower, a real symbol of the event and the village of Caccuri (Crotone), forged by the goldsmith master Michele entrusted.
The four essays – selected by the Scientific Committee chaired by Giordano Bruno Guerri – were voted by a popular jury and a national team. The golden register of previous editions is full of important names: among others, Pino Aprile, Roberto Napoletano, Barbara Serra, Claudio Martelli, Gianluigi Nuzzi, Antonio Padellaro, Nicola Gratteri, Carlo Cottarelli, Carlo and Renzo Piano, Dacia Maraini, Valentina Petrini, Massimo Cacciari, Sigfrido Ranucci.
