Gaza, Israeli tanks enter Deir Al-Balah. At least 17 deaths throughout the strip

Since dawn, at least 17 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks throughout Gaza. It reported medical sources to Al Jazeera. Among the victims, three people were killed by the Israeli bombings in Deir El-Balah and in the Bureij field, in the Central Gaza Strip. The tank bullets would have hit eight houses and three mosques in the area. Previously medical sources in the strip had indicated that five members of the same family were killed today in an Israeli attack in the Al-Mawasi area, in the south of the strip, and two more in Jabalia, in the North.

The operation began in the early hours of today, a few hours after the IDF had issued a notice of evacuation for residents of 6 residential isolated in the southwestern part of the city. Israeli forces launched an air and terrestrial assault on the city of Deir Al-Balah, in the center of the Gaza Stripreports the BBC. The area is populated by thousands of displaced people from Rafah and Khan Youunis, in the south of Gaza. Local journalists referred to the BBC that the tanks and Israeli military vehicles went to the city by the Kisufim checkpoint under the coverage of heavy artillery and hunting.

Dozens of bullets would have hit the neighborhoods of Abu al-‘ajin and Hikr al-Jami ‘, while the earth forces came into action. The movies shared on social media show flashes of explosions and the sound of continuous shots while Israeli troops advance. Thousands of residents fled from the city during the night to the coastal area of Al-Mawasi, near Khan Youunis, which has become one of the few relatively safe areas left in the south of Gaza.
