The Al-Rasheed Street coastal road is the only communication route between Gaza City and the central and southern area of the Strip. For 10 days he has been full of people who run to save their lives, fleeing the heavy bombings over the city, first with the bombs from the sky then with the invasion of Israeli artillery.
Few can afford a vehicle: fuel is scarce and costs 20 times more than usual. And the rent of trucks and cars flew to the stars. On that road, the scene of cecchini attacks that killed hundreds of families and was destroyed by tanks and grenades, they are all in line. The luckiest with carts, old cars, trucks, bicycles. But most families go on foot, dragging what little they can bring, on a journey that many boils as “the day of judgment”.
