More than three years after the tragic death of Ettore Giordano, the 42 -year -old found lifeless on June 9, 2022 in the home of the partner, in Taverna di Montalto Uffugo, the judicial and media affair that revolves around that dramatic episode continues to make people discuss. In these hours, Fabrizia Dragone, a former partner of the victim, who has chosen to entrust to the press a note to clarify its position, stigmatize some contents recently appeared on various newspapers and reaffirming the will to contribute actively and in full compliance with the institutions to the ascertainment of the truth, to the word. “I took note of the massive local press review through which, days ago – explains Fabrizia Dragone – the news of the technical investigations arranged by the investigating magistrate of Cosenza and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Cosenza in the procedure concerning the death of my partner Ettore Giordano, with whom I lived for years, until the last tragic day was disclosed.
A dutiful premise, that of the victim’s partner, who immediately emphasizes the human aspect of the story. A lasting relationship, a shared everyday life, a sudden bond suddenly, leaving room for questions, pain and, as transpires from the letter, even a deep sense of injustice compared to how the facts have been publicly represented. Fabrizia Dragone, in fact, expresses strong concern and disappointment for the way in which the press has reported specific details related to the day of the tragedy, attributing behaviors that, according to its version, not only do not correspond to reality, but risk distorting the public perception of its role in that affair. “I also took note of the content of some printing articles with which, in an inappropriate way, I was incomprehensibly advised that I called the Mother of the Jordanian after a long time after the fact and even not having alerted the rescue”.
A reconstruction that the dragon is firmly contested, denouncing the fact that these statements have been reported almost as if they were consolidated truths, despite the fact that the investigations are still in the preliminary phase and, therefore, far from any definitive assessment. “On the sidelines, the anomalous circumstance that these press bodies reported on these facts, considering them certain despite the preliminary investigations – continues the note – the only procedural truth is that the Prosecutor’s Office of Cosenza, precisely in this criminal proceeding and followed by defensive writings filed by my lawyers, has explicitly recognized my state of person offended by the crime”. Precisely by virtue of this recognition, Fabrizia Dragone has announced its participation in the unrepeatable technical investigations set for September 23, within the framework of the investigative activities ordered by the judge for preliminary investigations.
