This was decided by the Plenum of the CSM which, in the session this morning, unanimously approved the proposal made by the fifth commission. Born in Naples 65 years ago, Borrelli, the current prosecutor of Salerno, entered the judiciary in 1986. He was then inspector of the Ministry of Justice until 2009, when the CSM appointed him as an additional prosecutor of Catanzaro. In 2014 he held the same role in the Naples Prosecutor’s Office before moving, in 2020, to Salerno. In the appointment resolution it is stated that “the career of Giuseppe Borrelli is very long, vast and unparalleled, having regard to the complexity of the territories in which it has exercised its functions, characterized by an endemic organized crime”
