The rain, however announced by the weather forecast, was about to ruin the party. A few drops at the opening, then everything was smooth for the twelfth edition of the Caposuvero Prize. Conceived by Giuseppina Fragale, president of Proloco Gizzeria, the event took place in the presence of authoritative men (and women) of the state, capable entrepreneurs, value artists. On stage to present Salvatore Audia, director of the Esperia TV broadcaster, helped by the very young Giovanna Cerra.
Twenty the winners, among these the magistrates Domenico Guarascio, Annamaria Ottaci, the judge Giovanni Strangis. And again the prefect of Catanzaro Castrese De Rosa, the rector of the UMG Giovanni Cuda, the journalist Carlo Macrì, the cardiologist Mario Spanò, the entrepreneur Vincenzo Bano and the president of the Reggio Calabria Chamber of Commerce Antonino Tramontana.
The commissioner Pasqualina Corica not only brought the greeting of the administration, who sponsored the event, but also collected the prize on behalf of Caterina Carbone, absent for personal reasons, responsible for Unipegaso.
For art and entertainment, the commission has awarded the actor and comediographer Enzo Colacino and the painter Raffaele Mazza of the plaque. The very young Raffaele Santoro, also rewarded for his social activity, told a different point of view of the younger generations, full of values even in a time aggravated by the chaos produced by social networks. Maurizio Sirianni awarded, who then helped the event to flow fluid but engaged with four songs from the Italian songwriter repertoire.
Pasquale Gagliardi, regional manager of the Calabria helicopter rescue, also rewarded this year for the solidity and self -denial in facing the difficult events that we often live on the Calabrian roads and for life -saving transfers that from second -level hospitals are carried out towards the Calabrian hubs, also connected from Lampedusa.
Special mentions for two women who have left a deep trace in the Calabrian community, with their original stories: Giusy Versace and Angela Napoli, the latter godmother of the prize since its first edition.
Sport saw Sergio Servidone protagonist, awarded for its 50 years of activities at the service of Calabria. And the Unpli leaders could not be missing, Pippo Capellupo and Nino La Spina, regional and national presidents of the Pro Loco in Italy.
“The best of the editions that of this year – said Giuseppina Fragale – which pushes us to do better and better. We already have new ideas to explore for 2026. But in the meantime let’s enjoy this edition. The intent is to present to the Calabrian community figures who are not special – he concluded – but which clearly indicate how to live and act in society if we want to leave a noble track and help those who come after us”.
