In the night just passed, the carabinieri of the San Luca station intervened in the mountain area of Polsi, in the heart of Aspromonte, following a rescue request reached the emergency number 112.
Three tourists of German nationality, father and two children, traveling with their car towards the Sanctuary of Polsi, had ventured along a particularly impervious and isolated road, bringing a mechanical breakdown to the vehicle that prevented the continuation of the journey.
Received the report, the military of the weapon promptly activated, reaching tourists at the point where they were stuck. The same, conscious and in good health, were recovered and accompanied to the inhabited center, thus ending the misadventure.
The intervention demonstrates the irreplaceable value of the proximity activity carried out daily by the carabinieri stations, fundamental presidia especially in small mountain towns. The widespread presence on the territory, combined with the knowledge of the most difficult areas to reach, allows the military to guarantee safety, assistance and concrete proximity to local communities and anyone who goes through these territories, even in the most difficult hours.
