We started from low numbers, by insignificant percentages, only a few years ago, and thanks to the joint work between the Municipality, Akrea and the growing commitment of citizens, today we can say that we have taken the right path. But we do not stop here: our goal is to bring the differentiated throughout the city and reach even more significant percentages”
Even the president of Akrea, Alberto Padula expressed satisfaction: “This result is the result of the synergy established with the municipal administration, of careful planning and an important investment both in terms of human and technological resources. The Councilor for Investee, Antonio Scandale underlined the importance of institutional collaboration: “We believed in Akrea, and today we can indicate it as a positive example of synergy between the public and the territory. This increase in separate collection is not only good news on the environmental, but also economic level: reducing the undifferentiated means reducing disposal costs and improving public budgets. We will continue to invest in awareness and innovation”

The Municipality of Crotone and Akrea confirm the commitment to continue the virtuous path undertaken, focusing on environmental education, transparency in waste management and active participation of citizens.
The numbers: it went from 31.42% in January to 47% recorded in July with an increase of 16%.
Already in February there had been a more 7% until they reached 38.66% in June and the leap of over 8 percentage points that allowed to largely exceed the fateful threshold of 45%, an objective that had placed common and Akrea.
Akrea already offers the service in neighborhoods with high housing density such as flour.
To achieve this result, which, among other things, will allow the possibility of being able to access regional funding, the collaboration of citizens was fundamental.
Among other things, the percentage achieved is one of the requirements provided to be able to nominate the city to the assignment of the blue flag.
Now continue, always with the collaboration of the citizens, to hit the objectives scheduled for 2026.
