Equipment for advanced aesthetic treatments, loyalty of customers, appointments managed with care and a constant presence on social media to attract new users. But behind the glossy image, completely abusive activities were hidden, managed without any health authorization or professional title.
This is what the carabinieri of the Gioia Tauro station discovered, with the support of the local police, as part of a vast control activity on the territory aimed at combating illegal health and aesthetic practices.
The controls of the military of the weapon have made it possible to identify two clandestine aesthetic centers, promoted on social networks with captivating posts and videos, which offered advanced aesthetic treatments and aesthetic medicine – such as dermopigmentation, laser hair removal and collagen stimulation – in total absence of qualifications or authorizations.
In the first case, the military broke into a house transformed into a real beauty salon: Fidelity Card, appointments agenda and even a customer in treatment at the time of control. Inside, machinery were in operation which, according to current regulations and consolidated jurisprudence, can only be used under the supervision of medical personnel. The owner, completely without titles or authorizations, was reported for abusive exercise of the profession.
In the second episode, to end up under the lens of the carabinieri was a woman of Ukrainian nationality, also without a VAT number or any license, who managed an aesthetic activity within her home. Also in this case, at the time of the check there was a customer subjected to treatment, while a bed, a dermopigmentation device and other professional tools were found in the room. The administrative sanction provided for by current legislation has been raised against him.
