Five strategic interventions, over 10 million euros of investments and a clear vision: transform Locri into a widespread, modern and inclusive sports center. The municipal administration led by the mayor Giuseppe Fontana has announced an ambitious redevelopment and development plan of sports infrastructures, financed through the fund for the development and cohesion (FSC) 2021-2027 and the remodeling of the “Forever Plan”.
The first project concerns the creation of a football center to support the school center, with the aim of promoting resistance and legality. The intervention provides for the recovery and redevelopment of the Licino district sports facility, with new 5 -a -side football fields (one covered), stands and services areas. “We want to offer modern, safe and inclusive spaces, with particular attention to students,” said Fontana, underlining how the work is designed to strengthen the sense of community and stimulate the active participation of citizens.
