In 2025 the prices of the single rooms went from a national average of € 461 to € 613 in one year: +152 euros per month, the result of pure speculation made possible by the absence of serious housing policies.
The crisis does not spare the South: in Messina the average price of one single reached € 275 per month, with an increase of 20% compared to 2022, when the cost was stopped at € 229.
