Drama, action and moral dilemmas in a Korea of the imaginary South, where the balances are upset by an escalation of crime, in “Trigger”, ten episodes written and directed by the author of “Midnight” Kwon Oh -Seung, with whom Netflix – later “Mercy of None” and the now cult “Squid Game”returns to the eastern country that is challenging the US giants.
Entirely produced by the streaming platform, the series touches a topic that in Korea represents a real taboo, telling of a large load of illegal weapons that invades a country in which detention is almost non -existent, with a consequent and unstoppable succession of violence.

A dramatic scenario that forces Lee Do (Kim Nam-Gil), a former military sniper who became an investigator, to return to action. The man will find an exceptional collaborator on his journey, Moon Baek (Kim Young-Kwang), ambiguous and unpredictable trafficker, with a dual personality and a carefully orchestrated agenda. A somewhat anomalous partnership between the two, who will move in a mined field of uncertain alliances, opposite interests and twists. Chaos, rather than a side effect, thus becomes an integral part of the story; And each event will put the protagonists to the test both physically and morally.

The choice of the main interpreters is not accidental Kim Nam-Gil and Kim Young-Kwangreal stars at home with previous experience both in the action and in other narrative genres. Seen in Italy in the film “Emergency Escalation”, Kim Nam-Gil is in fact, in addition to actor, singer and philanthropist, creator and CEO of Gilstory, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the South Korean cultural heritage. Kim Young-Kwang was the first Asian model to parade in a catwalk by Dior Homme in 2008. In the cast also Woo Ji-Hyun (Jung-tae, candidate for the civil service exam), Jang Dong-Joo, Park Hoon and Gil Hae-Yeon.
