An investment of 100 million euros will create an ambitious innovation center in Southern Italy, destined to become a point of reference in Europe, where art, research, sustainability and technology meet in a hub of the immersive arts and creative technologies.

The Augusto Innovation Hub project, conceived by a team of entrepreneurs led by Fabrizio Crimi (Chairman), Jacques Maria Martelli (CEO), Corrado Camilla (COO), and Federico Gariboldi (CD) was born from the vision of transforming a 47,000 square meter area into the heart of Sicily, in the former industrial area Montecatini di Milazzo, in front of the Ale islands, in a Integrated ecosystem for digital film production, virtual production, immersive content, development of AI applications, digital conservation, specialized training and biotechnological research, with an economic and cultural impact of international level. The innovative architectural vision is entrusted to the architect Giancarlo Zema, known internationally for its iconic, sustainable and technologically advanced projects.

The structural works, in the area already approved by the municipal council of Milazzo and as per the protocol of understanding signed with the mayor Pippo Midili, the Franza group and the Augusto group, will begin by 2025 and will last for 18 months. Meanwhile, the operations have started to create a digital library.

The project has already been illustrated in the Chamber, to the members of the parliamentary interior ceiling “south, fragile areas and minor islands” chaired by the deputy Alessandro Caramiello, who showed his interest and his support. He will be presented at the press conference in September in the Chamber of Deputies.
