By 24 December it will be known whether or not the house arrest will be confirmed for the former head of plastic surgery at the “Gaetano Martino” University Hospital of Messina, Francesco Stagno D’Alcontres. Before the review court this morning, the deputy public prosecutor Giorgia Spiri reiterated the need to maintain the precautionary measure decided by the judge for preliminary investigations Salvatore Pugliese in light of the investigations that are still ongoing into alleged bribes to the Polyclinic.
The review court will give its opinion within the next three days. Plastic surgeon Francesco Stagno D’Alcontres ended up under house arrest on December 5th on charges of extortion, corruption, undue inducement and aggravated fraud. His lawyers, the lawyers Salvatore Silvestro and Nico D’Ascola, had filed the request to request the revocation of the precautionary measure decided by the investigating judge after the investigation coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Rosa Raffa with the deputy Giorgia Spiri.
