Yesterday morning, September 14, the carabinieri of the lieutenant of Isola Capo Rizzuto arrested GM, 36 years old of the place, for cultivation for the purpose of drug dealing.
The man in a land of his own, in loc. Forgiano of the Marinella hamlet, in fact it had planted and cultivated about 650 marijuana plants, which had reached the height of about 2 meters.
The concealment of the plantation was facilitated by the characteristics of the location, with few homes, fields and cultivated and wild vegetation, and by the precautions adopted: the plants were in fact divided into rows within a corn field, to overcome a possible unwatched control.
The illegal activity, also thanks to the in -depth knowledge of the territory, however did not escape the Carabinieri of the Tenenza, who after noticing suspicious movements intervened without fail.
The plants, in all about 650, were therefore eradicated and seized, for the subsequent destruction after the ritual analyzes.
The man was arrested and accompanied to the Crotone prison, where he is available to the judicial authority of the capital.
