August 9 – The vice -president of the regional council, Filippo Pietropaolo, makes official the date of the elections: Sunday 5 Monday 6 October.
Therefore, he won the so -called middle ground because the doubts of the last few hours were if the electoral competition should have taken place in mid -October, 12 and 13, or, even, at the end of September Sunday 28 and Monday 29.
With the vote in the first weekend of October, as happened in 2021 when it voted on Sunday 3 and Monday 4, the Calabrians will vote practically in the same period, but one year in advance of the natural expiry of the legislature.
A August of fire
The candidates already decided and those to be “armored” under the umbrella or table during a fish dinner: it will be a August of fire for the Calabrian policy because the lists and candidates must be presented between 5 and 6 September. Therefore, less than a month is missing and clearly some “games” are made, but there are many boxes to perfect and close. Starting with who will be/ will be the opponent/ opponents of Roberto Occhiuto. The center -left has a few days/hours now to dissolve the reserve and decide which party of the coalition to the presidency candidate for and then once he developed this, choose the candidate: the feeling is that they can truly arise vertiginously and quickly the tridic quotations. The MEP of the Five Stars seems to be the right glue to put everyone in agreement. But with the center -left the surprises are always around the corner. Then there is the whole centrist galaxy: action, Italy Viva, the socialists of Prince, Franz Caruso and Aieta: he warms up the engines of the regional coordinator of Italy Viva and former mayor of Cariati, Filomena Greco? In any case, the time holds and the election campaign has already started with the outgoing regional councilors and many aspiring (also some return horses) ready to say its own in the three electoral circumscriptions: North (Cosenza), Center (Catanzaro-Crotone-Vibo) and South (Reggio Calabria). Between social campaigns and votes to conquer under the sun, the game for hunting at a seat at Palazzo Campanella is really fiery.

Amalia Bruni (center -left), seven lists: Democratic Party, Five Star Movement, Safe Calabria, PSI, Green Europe, Calabria treasure, Animalist Party.
Luigi de Magistris, six lists: De Magistris President, Dema, another Calabria is possible, united with De Magistris, for Calabria with De Magistris, resistant and solidarity Calabria.
