From the archaeological park of Sibari to the terraces on the Tyrrhenian Sea, each location becomes an accomplice of a musical journey that has been continuing to conquer public and criticizes well beyond national borders, making the name of Calabria resonate even in the Jazz Clubs in New York.
The musical journey of the Peperoncino Jazz Festival 2025 is not yet finished, and tonight awaits all fans for a double appointment that celebrates its artistic versatility. In Cetraro, at 10 pm, in the suggestive garden of Palazzo del Throne, Roberto Musolino accompanied by the pianist Gian Pio Vetromile will pay homage to the great successes of the Genoese singer -songwriter Gino Paoli. At the same time, but already sold out for a few days, in Diamante, at the Riviera Bleu restaurant, the duo formed by Marco Trifilio and the celvetellist Claire Briand will enchant the guests in a highly anticipated concert.
The itinerary continues with Mafalda Minnozzi, protagonist of another double unmissable appointment: tomorrow in San Nicola Arcella, where together with the New York guitarist Paul Ricci will present “Cinema City – cinema through music”, a jazz journey through the most iconic soundtracks of the cinema, and Thursday in San Lucido with “Meu Rio”, a passionate tribute to Rio de Janeiro, All from the top of the Corcovado.
On Friday the Festival will land in Paola with Davide Shorty, while in Cirella the Royale will vibrate the night with soul and funky sounds in the context of “glasses under the stars”. Saturday, always in Cirella, will be the turn of the Toca Tango. The grand finale, then, is announced even more spectacular: on Monday 25 in Cirella Vecchia, in the convent of the minimum, the Guthrie Family Sinters with Scarlet Rivera (the legendary violinist of Bob Dylan) will pay homage to Woody Guthrie. Closing in beauty on Friday 29 in Praia a Mare with Nicole Zuraititis, winner of the Grammy Award 2024 for best female jazz voice.
