Jova Party in Catanzaro, boom for hotels and B&Bs: many sold out and skyrocketing prices

Latecomers or those who have decided at the last minute to participate in the Jova Summer Party next Saturday in Catanzaro will have to take into account a drain if they want to stay overnight in the city facilities or in the municipalities immediately adjacent to the concert area, in the Germaneto district.
The main event of the Calabrian summer attracts thousands of people and for this reason the costs of accommodation have increased significantly compared to the standard. The data is provided by a quick search on the main specialized sites.
The few structures that are not already sold out – most have been for some time – are in fact maximizing the possibility of monetizing, according to the oldest economic rule that relates supply and demand. Therefore, for the night between 22 and 23 August prices vary between 152 euros for a b&b a few steps from the Calabria Music Arena, where the concert will be held, up to 352 euros for a hotel in the Germaneto district. But prices that are in this range – closer to the upper limit than to the lower one – are also recorded in the accommodation facilities of the seaside district, be they hotels, farmhouses or B&Bs. Similar prices are also recorded in the city centre, at least in those few structures that are still available. The vast majority of them, in fact, are full.
