Problems were recorded, on Sunday evening, to the lighting system of the Elipist of the Lipari hospital and the 118 helicopter, who was to transfer a patient to a health structure of the Messina area, he had, several times, to fly over the island sky waiting for the lights to be activated to allow the landing in safety: what happened after about ten minutes, thanks to a nurse who has manually activated the lighting system. Also this time, as well as on February 25, when the elipist was illuminated by car headlights, it went well but it is clear that you cannot always rely on good luck or interventions in extremis, in a field, such as the healthcare one, where, in some cases, a minute more or less can be decisive to save a life. In this case, the ASP of Messina has nothing to do with but the Municipality of Lipari, to which, as the owner of the structure, the extraordinary maintenance interventions, and the Elipist manager, on behalf of the Region, to whom the ordinary maintenance works (often carried out by the Municipality) are due.
