Ferragosto of extraordinary checks for the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Locri, who intensified the supervision of the local roads in order to guarantee safety and prevent accidents related to the abuse of alcohol and substances.
During the checks, dozens of people have been identified and under control of numerous vehicles. The activity led to the referral of three motorists to the judicial authority: everyone was surprised behind the wheel with an alcohol content well beyond the limits required by law. For two other drivers, however, the administrative penalty was triggered with consequent withdrawal of the license.
Ferragosto, a moment of celebration and aggregation, unfortunately also represents a critical period on the road safety front, often marked by dangerous conduct and excessive consumption of alcohol. For this reason, the weapon has prepared an extraordinary device, aimed at countering irresponsible behaviors and ensuring greater serenity to residents and tourists.
The carabinieri remember that driving after drinking does not only mean incurring sanctions and legal consequences, but above all to put their lives at risk and that of others.
