The well-known art critic and essayist from Turin Luca Beatrice, 63 years old, he died after being hospitalized in serious conditions at the Molinette hospital in the City of Health of Turin. The former president of the Circolo dei Lettori, president of the Rome Quadrennial 2025, had been struck by an illness in recent days and had been admitted to the hospital in the Piedmontese capital. «Two brothers are not two friends. Luca Beatrice graduated in Turin in History of Cinema at the Faculty of Letters and obtained a specialization diploma in History of Art at the University of Siena. Beatrice had curated important art exhibitions throughout Europe. From 2003 to 2005 he was curator of the Prague Biennial. In 2009 he was curator of the Italian Pavilion for the 53rd Venice Art Biennale. From 2010 to 2018 he was president of the Circolo dei Lettori of Turin. Now he was president of the Quadriennale 2025, the main periodic exhibition dedicated to contemporary Italian art, scheduled this year from October 2025 to January 2026 with the title Fantastica.
