Massive Russian night attack: rain of drones and missiles on Ukraine

On the night between Friday and Saturday, Russia launched one of the most massive air attacks since the beginning of the conflict, launching 597 drones and 26 cruise missiles against Ukraine, for a total of 623 aerial weapons, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The attack has affected several regions of the country, including Lopoli, Kharkiv, Lustk, Sumy and Bucovina, causing at least 4 deaths and an unknown number of injuries.

The Ukrainian armed forces said they had intercepted and shot down more than half of the devices, including 319 drones and 25 missiles. The drones used included a high number of Shahed models, known to be used frequently by the Russian army in long -range attacks.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Moscow, the targets of the operation were the Ukrainian military-industrial companies and the infrastructure of a military airport, objectives that would have been successfully affected.
