At least 19 Palestinians, including a four-year-old girl, have starred in the last 24 hours in Gaza: the BBC and the CNN report it, who quote the spokesperson of the Hospital of the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa, in Deir Al-Balah, in the Central Gaza Strip. The CNN also reports that since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023 at least 76 children have died of malnutrition in the strip.
“Nineteen people, including children, starred,” the hospital spokesman, Dr. Khalil al-Daqran. “Hospitals can no longer provide food to patients or staff members, many of whom are physically unable to continue working because of extreme hunger,” he underlined. Even basic necessities such as artificial milk for infants are no longer available: “hospitals cannot provide a single bottle of milk to children who suffer from hunger, because neoned powder milk is sold out on the market,” he added. The CNN, for its part, reports that UNa four years old girl – Razan Abu Zaher – died yesterday for malnutrition in the Martyrs Hospital of Al -Aqsa. “Gaza is experiencing the worst phase of famine, which has achieved catastrophic levels in unprecedented international silence,” he commented on the American broadcaster Al-Daqran, adding that the children who are now dying have been robbed of their childhood twice: “Once bombing them and killing them, and a second time by depriving them of milk and a piece of bread”.
