Yesterday afternoon around 19:30, the Fire Brigade of the Messina Command intervened for the recovery of 24 Boy Scouts of the Province of Noci (Bari) who had been lost during an excursion that would have to lead them to the waterfalls of San Filippo. The path of the San Filippo area fell in the impervious area and have been lost.
After the report, team 1 of the Fire Brigade was immediately sent and, with the support of SAF (river alpine speleo) specialists and Tas staff (topography applied to rescue), the position of the boys was quickly identified.
The boy scouts and their companions, albeit disoriented, were found in good health. After the first assistance, they were taken to the valley where, thanks to a bus and a doblò of the firefighters, they were transported to the parish of San Domenico, in the carousel district of Messina, where they found hospitality and accommodation.
