The Messina police arrested a 31 -year -old man, accused of mistreatment against family members and cohabitants and extortion against the mother and partner. The order for pre -trial detention in prison was issued by the Court of Messina at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The most recent episode dates back to July 24, when the reporting of a woman who asked for help came to the single emergency number 11 The flyers intervened immediately on the spot, finding the woman visibly shaken and frightened. The man, however, had already moved away.
The mother told the agents that the habitual consumer of alcohol and narcotic substances, shortly before he had uttered threatening phrases and tried to access the house. It was not the first time: on several occasions, to the refusal to deliver money, the young man would have reacted violently, damaging farms and objects of the home.
The investigations made it possible to reconstruct a repeated conduct of mistreatment and extortion, perpetrated not only towards the mother but also of the partner.
