Messina at the center of the European debate on transnational crime: the conference in the University is underway

The conference is underway this morning in the main hall of the University of Messina “National and transnational crime: tools and objectives in Italy and Europe”which brings together institutions, magistrates, law enforcement agencies and criminal law experts to discuss new challenges posed by organized crime.

The initiative, organized by the University with the participation of numerous national and international personalities, is divided into three thematic sessions dedicated to the harmonization of European criminal systems, the new frontiers of crime (cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence and cyberspace) and the risks connected to the illegal use of European funds, including PNRR.

Among others, the President of the European Parliament take part in the day Roberta Metsola, the Minister of the Interior Matteo planted, the national anti -mafia prosecutor Giovanni Melillo, the district prosecutors of Sicily and Calabria and the top of Europol, Eurojust, Eppo and Amla, as well as representatives of the police and academic world.
