Fifteen lists already ready, some to be completed, but with the feeling that not everything has been revealed yet. In a packed Palacultura (many remained standing or outside the room), Federico Basile, with at his side this time the leader of South calls North, officially started his electoral campaign, and he did it with a muscular demonstration: the thousand candidates announced do not seem so far from reality.
Municipalities, here are the names. Except the second: a “surprise” announced
The candidates for the presidency of the Municipalities were also presented (except for the second, for which “a surprise” is announced): the former UDC Enzo Messina in the first, Lino Cucè in the third (of which he was already president from 2018 to 2022), Renato Coletta in the fourth, Beatrice Belfiore in the fifth, Sasha Cardile in the sixth, Ninni Caprì, son of the former municipal councilor Giorgio, in the seventh.
Many new entries, among others here is Mirko Cantello after the break with the centre-right
There are several new entries, but they are well-known faces in politics, with roles of councilor and not only held in the past: from Angelo Burrascano to Paolo David, from Paolo Mangano to Paolo Saglimbeni, from Arturo Alonci to Giovanna Crifò, and there is also Mirko Cantello, who just in recent days had announced the break with the center-right and with the mayoral candidate Marcello Scurria.
Basile: “City ready to move from objectives to strategy”. De Luca: “The Strait Bridge procedure cannot keep Messina out”
“We took a machine with many problems that others had not been able to manage – Basile’s words -, now we are in a different phase, the city is ready to move from objectives to strategy, to achieve the objectives we deserve”. A claim, insists De Luca, “which also involves a strategic role in the Strait Bridge procedure, which cannot keep Messina out”.
