An independent road accident occurred this morning along the panoramic road, at kilometer 9 towards Papardo. A 21-year-old young man, for reasons still under investigation, lost control of the vehicle, ending up off the road and overturning on its side.
The 118 health workers intervened immediately, providing initial treatment to the driver. The boy only suffered a strong fright and some abrasions, judged to be minor, and was taken to the Papardo hospital for checks.
Officers from the accident section of the municipal police also intervened at the site of the accident and carried out investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident. Traffic was slowed down for the time needed for rescue operations and to make the road safe.
