The completion of the appointments of the presidents of the permanent council commissions of the Municipality of Messina represents a fundamental step to guarantee the full operation of the Municipal Council and allow the full start of the administrative activity of the new council. Underlining its importance is the President of the City Council, Massimiliano Minutoli, who expressed satisfaction with the conclusion of the process of establishing the council bodies, highlighting how the Commissions can now begin their activities, promptly addressing the main issues of interest for the city, in the name of institutional collaboration and the participation of all the political forces represented in the Chamber.
“With the completion of the appointments of the presidents of the Council Commissions – declared President Minutoli – the City Council is now fully capable of carrying out its role of political-administrative guidance and control. I thank all the councilors for the sense of responsibility demonstrated during this phase and I hope that the work of the Commissions is characterized by a constructive spirit, discussion and constant attention to the interests of the Messina community”.
The President also highlighted how the installation of the heads of the Commissions represents a significant moment for the start of the legislature, expressing the hope that the work can begin in the next few days with the examination of the first deliberative proposals and the most urgent issues concerning the territory. With the completion of this organizational process, the City Council now has all the necessary tools to effectively carry out its institutional functions, contributing, through the work of the Commissions, to the definition of administrative guidelines and the analysis of the provisions intended for the Chamber.
