The electoral campaign was exactly as I wanted it: it reflects who I am and how I have always been, both in content and form. I believe this is a general aspect to keep in mind also for future applications.
My compliments certainly go to my political opponents who emerged defeated from this round. The percentages obtained by the other candidates give a measure not only of the contact with the territory, but also of the work carried out. We are in a democracy — I want to always remember this, even if some sometimes seem to forget it — so I congratulate my opponents and wish them all the best in their future political commitments. At this moment there is no room for controversy.
This result, which still sees Cateno De Luca at my side, effectively represents the third consecutive mandate of our political reality in this city. It is an extraordinary achievement that rewards not individual faces, but good administration.”
