From 2 to 30 September, via Lago Grande will be affected by a road order necessary to allow the progress of the works of the project “Integrated System of Dolce Mobility Ganzirri – Torre Faro”, financed with PNRR funds as part of the strengthening of urban cycling mobility.

The measure, issued by the urban mobility service of the Municipality of Messina, provides for a series of measures aimed at guaranteeing the safety of pedestrians and motorists during the construction site. In particular:

H24 parking ban with forced removal on both sides of the Via Lago Grande;

ban on pedestrian transit on the lake side sidewalk, with an obligation to use the opposite side;

ban on vehicular transit on the lake side for a 1.50 meters wide road range;

Maximum speed limit set at 30 km/h along the entire section concerned.

The company in charge of the works will guarantee the preparation of the correct provisional signs and all the measures necessary to protect the safety of road traffic.

The intervention is part of the largest strategy of redevelopment and enhancement of sustainable mobility in the northern area of Messina, with the aim of encouraging bike movements and walking along the Ganzirri – Torre Faro axis.
