The Municipality of Messina informs that from Tuesday the civil status acts (birth, marriage, citizenship and death) will be managed through the ANSC – National Civil Status Archive, the new national digital system that will replace the paper registers.
What changes for citizens
From this date, all the acts will be drawn up and kept in digital format, with the same legal value as the paper ones.
To sign declarations or acts (such as a birth, recognition, a marriage or a citizenship practice) it will be necessary to go to the counter with Spid or CIE, so as to guarantee digital identification and the signature of the act.
The advantages
- No more paper registers: the documents will be safer and easier to manage;
- Faster and less bureaucracy procedures;
- A unique and valid system throughout Italy, with equal rules for everyone.
The mayor Federico Basile said that: “From 16 September the way we manage the civil status acts changes. It is an important step forward, which looks to the future of the city and the relationship between the Municipality and citizens”.
The Councilor for Digitization, Roberto Cicala, highlighted that “with Ansc we bring the civil status of Messina to the digital age. It is a change that simplifies the work of the offices and makes the services clearer and accessible for everyone”.
It is represented that, given the innovative and complex procedure, in the first weeks, problems could occur not dependent on the will of the body, but the civil status operators will be available for the prompt resolution of any problem.
