The Municipality of Messina and the Special Company Messina Social City present on Monday 29 September, at 9.30 am, “The House of Emotions”, a new multifunctional space that will welcome the little ones in the morning with an supplementary service for children and in the afternoon will offer educational and recreational activities aimed at young Messina. The presentation will be held directly at the project headquarters, in via San Giovanni Bosco 33 in Messina, and is open to press and citizenship. On the occasion of the meeting, the notice for participation in the activities will also be published.
The space was born as an educational and relational place dedicated to children from 18 to 36 months, in a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment. Here the little ones will have the opportunity to explore, recognize and train their emotions through play, creativity and sharing.
The service will be active from Monday to Saturday, in the morning band from 8.00 to 13.00. In the afternoon hours, the house of emotions, inspired by the protagonists of the world of comics, will turn into the library of emotions: a space dedicated to reading and discovery, not only for children, but also for young people and families. It will be a special place to approach the world of emotions through books, comics, sensory experiences and relational activities. The program includes a thematic appointment per month, with animated readings, creative workshops and interactive experiences. The meetings will be enriched by the participation of special guests, including authors of books, illustrators, actors, emotional educators, pedagogists and psychologists.
The mayor Federico Basile underlined the importance of this new service: “With the house of emotions we continue in the path of expansion of the services dedicated to childhood. Guarantee and stimulating places means offering concrete support to families, who must be able to count on qualified spaces where their children can grow, learn and socialize. This is a commitment that the administration intends to carry on with determination”.
The president of the Messina Social City company, Valeria Asquini, highlighted the educational and social value of the project: “The house of emotions becomes a space that unites children and young people, a winning combination that has already seen us protagonists with the E-Sisto center in Villa Dante and that today continues with this new challenge.
