A round of ghost construction sites to collect tax credits never accrued. This is what the Guardia di Finanza of Messina discovered, which unmasked a criminal partnership active in the Nebrodi area and beneficiary of large sums related to SUPERBONUS 110% without the declared renovation works were never performed.
The operation, christened “Ghost construction sites”, was conducted by the lieutenant of Sant’Agata di Militello under the coordination of the Patti prosecutor. Eleven people have been reported with accusations ranging from aggravated fraud against the state to theself -launching, up toissue and use of false invoices. At the disposal of the investigating judge of the Patti court, the preventive seizure of assets for over 1.6 million euros, between liquidity and properties.
According to what emerged, the tax credits – approximately 950 thousand euros – would have been generated thanks to False assignments signed by complacent professionals, who attest to the reduction of seismic risk and energy efficiency never performed. In addition, part of those credits had been sold to third party companies in exchange for money, thus configuring the hypothesis of self -laundering.
The properties involved in the alleged fraud are in the municipalities of Mistretta e Tusa, in the province of Messina. The investigations, underlines the Guardia di Finanza, were conducted with a wide range of investigative tools: documentary and accounting findings, inspections with qualified technicians, analysis of economic and financial relationships, as well as in -depth tax checks.
