It is not the inefficiency of the company, but a bureaucratic tangle and the lack of collaboration of private individuals that is blocking the resolution of the sewage problem in via Fondo Fucile, via 37 F. After journalistic complaints relating to sewage and insects infesting the area, the Sole Director of AMAM SpA, the engineer Salvatore Ruello, intervenes to clarify.
According to what was specified by the leaders of the southern water company, AMAM took action immediately after the first reports by carrying out drainage interventions. However, the effectiveness of these maneuvers proved to be only temporary, prompting technicians to investigate further into the causes of the malfunction. The technical investigations revealed a structural anomaly: the blockage of the sewage flow is located in a section of the sewer collector located exactly under the veranda of a private apartment on the ground floor.
The real obstacle is therefore not technical, but legal. Since March 23, 2026, AMAM has started contacts with the condominium administrator to obtain the necessary permits and useful documentation to intervene on an area that belongs to the property. Despite reminders, the situation is at a standstill: the requested information only partially arrived in the following weeks. The signature of the necessary agreement by the owner of the apartment is still missing and the company cannot legally access private property without having completed the legal-administrative process required by law.
AMAM reiterates that it is ready to carry out the technical interventions as soon as the conditions of legitimacy are guaranteed, which would be “hindered” by the lack of feedback from a private counterpart.
