The Municipality of Messina takes another important step towards the redevelopment of city sports facilities. With the determination to contract n. 6588 of 17 July 2025, the Maintenance Services Department has launched the procedure for the assignment of the works of Energy efficiency of the Juvara gym.
The intervention, with a total value of 883,000.00 euroswill be financed through the resources of the Pon Metro Plus, with particular attention to environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
The project provides: the waterproofing of the entire sports complex; the realization of a new flooring; the renovation of toilets; extraordinary maintenance masonry.
The call for tenders and the specification will be published on the Portal Portal of the Municipality of Messina starting from 21 July 2025.

The intervention on the Juvara gym is part of a wider strategy of urban redevelopment and regeneration, with the aim of making Messina more and more sustainable, modern and measured citizen. Sport is a fundamental tool for social inclusion, well -being and growth, and deserves adequate and safe spaces “.
